The Earth's Emotional Atmosphere

Privacy

feelthe.world is designed with privacy at its foundation. There are no accounts, no logins, and no identities to protect, because none exist.

What We Collect

When you release an emotion, we store only three things: the emotion type, an approximate location (rounded coordinates), and a timestamp. This is the minimum required to visualize collective emotion on the globe.

What We Don't Collect

  • IP addresses are never stored persistently
  • No user accounts or identifiers
  • No cookies for tracking
  • No precise geolocation, only coarse, rounded coordinates
  • No personal data of any kind

Location

Your location is used solely to place a light approximately on the globe. Coordinates are rounded to ensure your exact position is never revealed. The goal is collective visualization, not individual tracking.

Anonymity by Design

Every emotion released is anonymous. There is no way to trace a release back to an individual. The system is designed so that you are seen for a moment, then released, just like the emotions themselves.

The individual is seen, then released.
Privacy is not a feature we added. It is the absence of what we chose not to build.
